WORLD USABILITY DAY 2006
Expert Review: Around the World in 36 Hours - 12/11/2006
On World Usability Day 2006 usability specialists from 12 different countries concurrently analyzed various web sites to check whether or not they met basic usability principles.
The usability specialist, Mercedes Sanchez, was the Brazilian representative of this global team.
Global web sites were evaluated, focusing on how cultural differences affected peoples’ interactions with the web sites. The usability problems found were presented all in a period of 36 hours.
The main results of the analysis were published in the UPA (Usability Professionals’ Association) magazine, an association which Mercedes Sanchez is a part of.
